Glencoe was developed by the Scottish Crop Research Institute. A cross of native black raspberry and red raspberry. The plants are very soft thorns, can be considered throneless. Flavor is excellent and plant can be bushy and ideal for containers or the home garden. One plant will produce a multi-stemmed clump, so it can be a space saver and not spread as red and yellow raspberries do. Tip prune in the summer at 30 inches to keep as a bush. Remove old canes after they've fruited. Resistant to Verticillium Wilt. Zones 4-8 Space 2-3' circles.
